PROFILE

All Sport Injuries was launched in Jan of 2006 in Navan.

Although having qualified from the National Training Centre (www.ntc.ie) in Neuromuscular Therapy in 2004, Main Therapist David Murphy had been practicing from Drogheda before moving to current premises in Jackie Skellys Johnstown (Navan)

Slowly building up experience upon qualification by working voluntarily for his first Sports Club, Fingalians in Swords, David built up a huge array of treatments for all sorts of injuries as one can imagine found on a G.A.A pitch.

Having worked there for 2 seasons, David moved onto working with Drogheda United in 2005. This was mainly working on the Under 21 (Now reserves…well done FAI!) team.

This entailed a lot of responsibility as the senior premiership team randomly played in this league to regain fitness etc, so professional care was utmost important. Now he works alongside Albert Byrne (main physio to the team) on a regular basis when needed.

Picking up many more qualifications over the years, Davids qualifications now include Physical Therapy/ Sports Injuries specialist/Sports First Aid incl use of Defibrulator, Nurtition and Sports Nutrition/Strapping and taping techniques/Trigger point Dry Needling and many more to name but a few.

David doesn’t believe in staying still and is continuing to up-skill himself.

Next up is a ground breaking treatment called Graston Technique which breaks down stubborn scar tissue (The bain of all therapists).

The treatments can vary from strapping and rehabbing a sprained ankle to a cruciate rehab in the knee to deep tissue massage to sort out scar tissue build up on the shoulder joint to Fibromyalgia. Pain management seems to be the common theme through out the treatments and many people who believed they were lost causes with constant pain found (Record is relieving pain that a woman had for 12 years in her shoulder!) great relief from the many treatments they received.

Currently working with Drogheda United, Seneschaltown GFC, Navan RFC, Johnstown FC, Park Villa FC, Kentstown FC, and many non sport people who just have a pain in the back or shoulder or nagging pain in that knee.

Contact us for a chat and see if you could return to your quality of life before that pain or rehab that ongoing issue. It will be well worth it.
